Loaf, Poulton-Le-Fylde, Lancs
Design Metric transformed a narrow high-street retail unit into LOAF — a warm, characterful café with artisan charm. The challenge? A tight footprint and elongated layout. The solution? Smart design, bespoke joinery, and strong brand detail throughout.
Scope:
Custom-built counter to suit narrow layout
Seating zones with exposed brick & timber
External façade rebrand with signage
Highlights:
A tactile mix of materials — timber, tile, exposed brick — gives LOAF a relaxed, hand-crafted feel. The slimline counter maximises function without overwhelming the space, finished in vertical slatted timber with solid oak tops.
Outside, a clean storefront and bold black branding give LOAF strong street presence. A local favourite with artisan warmth and high-end coffeehouse flow — tailored for tight spaces, built to last within in a worm Lancashire Market Town
