
Ford Carlisle
The Brief
Ford Store Carlisle is a completely new build and flagship site for the region. Design Metric were tasked with delivering a design that adheres to Ford’s strict European standards—ensuring every finish, colour, and fixture aligns with Ford’s global identity while optimising the customer experience.
The project called for a full integration of showroom, office, and back-of-house spaces under one cohesive design narrative—modern, transparent, and unmistakably Ford.


The Concept
Designed to serve 35 staff across sales, administration, and support teams, the concept balanced high performance and human comfort. Each department was designed for efficiency—with defined yet fluid work zones for admin, reception, customer lounges, and sales desks.
Soft seating clusters, agile touchdown areas, and acoustically balanced meeting rooms—complete with integrated Cisco Webex AV—support seamless collaboration and professional presentation. Every element reinforces Ford’s values of innovation, engineering precision, and customer care.
The Outcome
The finished space achieves the perfect synthesis between retail theatre and functional workspace. Customers move naturally from arrival to consultation in a layout that encourages interaction and exploration.
Material palettes were kept bright, durable, and timeless—mirroring Ford’s design philosophy. The result is a landmark dealership that sets a new benchmark for automotive retail, combining architectural confidence with user-centric flow and sustainability-led detail.
