Hunter Philips
The Brief
Hunter Philips is a global search specialist in the renewable energy sector. The brief called for a future-ready workplace that projects credibility to clients while supporting focused delivery across recruitment teams. The space needed to respect the character of its Edwardian shell yet feel light, professional and contemporary.
Our mandate: open up the upper floor into a collaborative loft studio, connect three floors of activity through consistent materials and wayfinding, and embed sustainability in both specification and day-to-day use.

The Concept
We framed the concept around eco-elegance—calm, natural finishes set against crisp, executive lines. Daylight is prioritised with low-profile partitions and reflective surfaces; planting and textural softs deliver a biophilic lift that mirrors the client’s sector.
Zones are tuned to task: open plan for telesales, quiet pods for 1-to-1 calls, AV-ready meeting rooms, and agile touchdown points between teams. Furniture is ergonomic and durable; materials include recycled surfaces, low-VOC finishes and PET acoustic screens manufactured from diverted plastic.
The Outcome
The result is a coherent three-floor workplace that feels bright, honest and confident. The loft level provides a collaborative hub; meeting rooms are acoustically balanced for video; circulation is clear and intuitive. The character of the building is retained—exposed brick, timber and reveals—while the new layer reads clean and contemporary.
Performance has been designed-in: improved lighting hierarchy, ergonomic work settings, and a materials palette that reduces maintenance and environmental impact. It’s a space that supports talent attraction, sharp client presentation and sustainable operations.
