O Kypreos
The Brief
Design Metric were appointed to transform a Georgian building in Nantwich town centre into O Kypreos — a charming Cypriot restaurant that feels traditional, welcoming and unmistakably authentic, while still delivering a clean, modern customer experience.
The scope covered the full guest journey, including exterior branding, a cohesive colour scheme, feature banquette seating, rustic dining tables, bar detailing, kitchen and back-of-house functionality, and upgraded WC facilities.
The Concept
The concept blended the character of the existing building with a warm Mediterranean palette—creating a space where good food, great company, and a welcoming atmosphere are always on the menu.
We designed comfortable banquette bench seating to maximise covers and improve flow, paired with rustic tables and layered finishes to give the restaurant a relaxed, lived-in feel. Branding and exterior identity were developed to sit confidently within the Nantwich streetscape, while still standing out as a destination.
The Outcome
Delivered in five weeks, O Kypreos is now a best-in-class town centre restaurant that celebrates Cypriot and Eastern Mediterranean hospitality—balancing authenticity with practical, hard-wearing finishes for day-to-day service.
From the refreshed exterior branding and colour scheme, to the inviting seating, bar presence, upgraded WCs and improved kitchen functionality, the completed fit out creates a memorable dining environment that feels both traditional and modern.
