The Brief
Design Metric were appointed to create Red Run’s first flagship store — a bold and confident retail environment in Liverpool One. As a women-led activewear brand, Red Run needed a space that embodies empowerment, movement, and modern femininity while keeping focus on the product.
The design needed to translate the brand’s luxury activewear identity into a tactile, immersive experience that would stand out in one of the UK’s most prominent retail districts.


The Concept
Our concept centred on an expressive, urban aesthetic — minimalist but rich in material contrast. Concrete-effect floors and walls provided a neutral stage for the vivid Red Run brand to stand out. Integrated lighting and industrial details balanced functionality with style.
Bespoke acrylic display units, exposed ceilings, and branded curtain zones created a space that feels both industrial and intimate — perfectly aligned with the brand’s energy.
The Outcome
The final store delivers impact, personality, and a sense of motion. Every feature was crafted to communicate Red Run’s identity — strong, forward-thinking, and inclusive. The design feels high-end yet authentic, with adaptable digital signage and lighting infrastructure for evolving campaigns.
This Liverpool flagship has set a new benchmark for the brand’s retail presence — a striking, immersive environment that moves as confidently as the women it celebrates.
